Transform your space with handwoven Moroccan carpets, where vibrant Berber heritage meets modern elegance—crafted thread by thread by artisans in the Atlas Mountains.

It all started with a journey through Morocco’s Atlas Mountains, where I met women whose hands have kept an ancient tradition alive—one knot at a time. In quiet village homes, Amazigh artisans were weaving wool into rugs, using the same techniques their grandmothers taught them.

When I met mina, a skilled weaver, she shared how her grandmother used to spin wool under the stars. But she also spoke of her worry: that this heritage could be lost to modern, fast-paced production.

That conversation sparked the idea for Berber Rug Roots.

Today, we work side by side with over 30 women artisans across Morocco. Each rug in our shop is handmade from natural wool, dyed with plants, and woven using time-honored methods. Your purchase supports these women directly—helping preserve a thousand-year-old craft while also funding education and sustainable wool production in their communities.

At Berber Rug Roots, you’re not just buying a rug. You’re becoming part of a story—one woven with culture, care, and continuity.

Your home isn’t just getting a rug—it’s holding a piece of Morocco’s soul. And with every purchase, you’re writing the next chapter of this story.
